The 32nd annual Banff Mountain Film Festival will be coming to Western once again. Started in 1986, the Banff Mountain Film Festival began as an outreach program to bring the festival to other communities. The films appeal to everyone, showcasing the environment and people interacting with it in extreme ways.
For a couple hours, experience the most extreme adventures along side with the outdoor enthusiasts in the movie. The films showcase sports ranging from cliff jumping, extreme kayaking, and mountain biking, to rock climbing and snow kiting.
The scenery is rare and exotic, filming from the top of mountains to remote locations in Italy, Canada, Norway, and the Reunion islands. If you love the outdoors, extreme sports or adventures, you won't want to miss the Banff Film Festival. Presented by ASP Films, the event will show on the PAC Main Stage. The cost is $6 WWU students with identification, and $9 general. The show starts at 7 p.m.
