Edible & Medicinal Plant Walk

Get out in nature with the Environmental Center for an Edible and Medicinal Plant Walk at Larrabee state park led by an experienced herbalist, Natasha Clarke.This workshop will introduce students to the amazing abundance that signifies the Pacific Northwest and show them safe, simple, and practical ways to incorporate this into everyday health and diet. The workshop will be Wednesday May 15th. The Environmental Center will provide transportation to Larrabee from WWU and back to campus. We will be meeting outside of the Outdoor Center at 4 pm and the plant walk will be from 4:30 pm-6:30pm. A few things Natasha will be discussing include: traditional plant use by Salish tribes, seaweed foraging, and herblore.
