This is a prime opportunity to have your work featured in a 60 year old institutionally backed publication. Having your work featured looks excellent on a resume and can boost your chances of having your art placed elsewhere. Submitting to Labyrinth Magazine is an accessible and easy opportunity to gain credibility to your name/work that's right at your fingertips. Interested? Submit up to three pieces here https://orgsync.com/56663/forms/107366 by 11:45 pm on Feb. 16th, 2015. Questions? Contact Johnna Gurgel at firstname.lastname@example.org
Beyond Borders is designed to showcase outstanding artwork created by Fine Art students in the western United States and Canada in order to stimulate dialogue and encourage exchange among new artists, their peers, and the established art community. The title, “Beyond Borders,” exemplifies our dedication to encourage communication across community, national, international and social borders. The title also serves to remind viewers and participants that art has the power to transcend all boundaries.
All currently enrolled undergraduate students in Alaska, California, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia are eligible to enter. The artworks selected for Beyond Borders, as well as the winners, will be determined by a panel of jurors. The First, Second and Third place winners will be awarded cash prizes (which in the past have totaled over $1000). For more information or to apply, please see the following prospectus and application documents.
Closing Reception will be held on June 4th, 6-8pm in VU 507. Please join us for light refreshments and socializing with the artists. Winners will be announced at 7pm.
