ASP --- Associated Students Productions
The purpose of AS Productions is to provide a comprehensive program of student activities and events for Western students and their community. AS Productions presents film series, concerts, lectures, art gallery exhibitions, theater/dance performances, and other entertainment. Programs under ASP include Films, Pop Music, Special Events, the Underground Coffeehouse, and the VU Gallery.
BUS --- Business Office
The AS Business Office provides services and resources for the AS programs, employees, and clubs which help facilitate the day-to-day operations of the AS. The AS Business Office exists to facilitate the day-to-day financial operation of the AS.
ESC --- Ethnic Student Center
The AS Ethnic Student Center is a safe and supportive environment for historically underrepresented groups and allies while providing cultural and educational programs.
ESP --- Environmental & Sustainability Programs
The purpose of the AS ESP is to inform, educate, and provide resources regarding a variety of issues surrounding environmentalism and sustainable practices. Programs under ESP include the Environmental Center, Outback Farm, Alternative Transportation, and the Green Energy Fee education coordinator.
KUGS --- KUGS
The mission of KUGS-FM is to serve the students of Western by providing a diverse program of music and information consistent with student interests and public affairs programming that encourages a greater understanding of the human differences and cultural pluralism Western’s community and the larger world we live in. KUGS, through its programming, will serve as a bridge from the university to the surrounding community. KUGS staff is responsible for cultivating the interest and production of non-commercial radio for Western’s students.

The AS has several positions that do not report to a department or office.
OC --- Outdoor Center
The purpose of the AS OC is to enhance opportunities for members of Western’s community to involve themselves in outdoor recreation activities. The OC provides a spectrum of programs, resources and services to enable the students, faculty, staff and Alumni Association members to safely participate in a variety of activities, develop and refine skills, practice environmental responsibility, and interact with each other and members of the community.
PC --- Publicity Center
The AS Publicity Center (PC) provides promotional services such as graphic design, printing, reproduction, media coordination, internet facilitation, distribution, photography, and coverage in The AS Review to students, student organizations, and some campus departments.
PER --- Personnel Office
The AS Personnel Office provides services and resources for AS programs, employees and clubs, which help facilitate the day-to-day operations of the Associated Students AS. The AS Personnel Office is responsible for the hiring process of AS positions (approx. 250 employees), the placement of work study students, and the coordination of organizing employee recognition and the programming of quarterly orientation, regular training and development programs.
REP --- Representation & Engagement Programs
The AS Representation & Engagement Programs exist to provide the resources, services, and support necessary to ensure student representation in decisions that impact students at the university, local, state, and federal levels; to promote effective citizenship and civic engagement through services, programs, and collaboration. Programs under the REP include the Student Senate, AS Board elections, committee support, and the Legislative Liason.
ROP --- Resource & Outreach Programs
The Associated Students Resource & Outreach Programs (ROP) provides information, advocacy, activities and peer-to-peer education to Western students. The seven centers within the ROP strive to empower and support all members of Western’s diverse community. The ROP also provides the opportunity for Western’s students to gain valuable work and life experience
