WWU Associated Students Scholarship Information

The Associated Students offers twenty-four scholarships to WWU students who have attended Western for the entire academic year as a full-time undergraduate student (12 credits or more per quarter) or a full-time Graduate student (8 credits or more per quarter), will be attending full-time next year and are in good academic standing. Additionally, there are two Childcare Voucher awards available, with unique eligibility and application requirements. Deadline for submission is Friday, April 11, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. Applications are available in Viking Union 504 or by selecting the links below. Associated Students "Academic Scholar Award" Scholarship (Three at $500)
Awarded to students in recognition of their outstanding academic merit and achievement at WWU. Must maintain a G.P.A of 3.5 or higher.
Associated Students Campus Activities Scholarship (Three at $500)
Awarded to students who are able to show past and/or present experience and involvement in campus activities at WWU.
Associated Students Community Involvement Scholarship (Three at $500)
Awarded to students who have shown a commitment to improving the lives of WWU students, through their work in the community.
Associated Students Diversity Scholarship (Three at $500)
Awarded to students who have made significant efforts to promote activism, awareness and enthusiasm for diversity issues.
Associated Students Employee Scholarship (Three at $500)
Awarded to Associated Student employees who have served the A.S. and WWU.
Associated Students Leadership Scholarship (Three at $500)
Awarded to students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership experience at WWU and/or the community.
Associated Students Political Involvement or Activism Scholarship (Three at $500)
Awarded to students who have made significant contributions at Western or in the community through involvement in the political process.
Associated Students Sustainability Scholarship (Three at $500)
Awarded to students who have developed and followed the principles of sustainability in their lives.
Associated Students Childcare Voucher Award (Two at $1,000)
Awarded to student-parents who meet the criterion in areas such as, but not limited to: number of dependents and their ages, financial need, and distance from campus.
