Why be an Info Fair sponsor?

Sponsoring the Info Fair is an excellent advertisement opportunity for your business or nonprofit organization. The Fair takes pride in its history of including a wide-variety of businesses across all sectors (e.g. family-friendly activities, food, telecommunications, entertainment), as well as nonprofit organizations that work closely with Western students (e.g. humanitarian causes, churches, volunteer opportunities, healthcare).

The Fair is an excellent opportunity to increase visibility of your business or organization, as well as provide students with prizes, promotional materials, and free services. While the Fair will be virtual this year, we encourage our sponsors to continue creatively connecting with students and introducing them to our local businesses and organizations.

We are always looking to include organizations and businesses who closely serve Western students; it's our goal for our sponsors to use the Info Fair as a way to meaningfully connect with and welcome students to campus - whether it's for the first time or fifth time.

How do I sponsor the Fair?

Our fair will be hosted on WIN – the Western Involvement Network – our main hub for all student organizations. Through this hub, you will have a dedicated section to promote your organization in a variety of ways including:

  • Introductory videos
  • Hosting Zoom calls/virtual chat room
  • Offer printable coupons or promotions
  • Descriptions and location information

We know that one of the biggest draws from the Info Fair is of course: Free Stuff. Western will provide prizes to students who participate to encourage engagement and participation in this new virtual format, and if you are able, we would love to provide e-coupons, discounts, or donated prizes which we could distribute to students based on participation (a prize drawing of sorts). We know that COVID-19 has been financially crushing for many, and we understand if you cannot participate this year. That is why we’ve lowered the cost substantially to participate and we hope that together, we can help promote your organization while supporting our students as we all work to get through this together.

The cost to have your own dedicated section on the website is $25 for nonprofits and $50 for businesses. To register, visit https://commerce.cashnet.com/VU1A. Please also send the information you’d like on the website to Jenn Cook at cookj22@wwu.edu.

We look forward to partnering with you and appreciate the support you’ve given Western and our students over the years.
