Purpose:
The Undocumented Students and Mixed-status Families Council works to:
- Advise University administrators on the development of policies, procedures, and processes that increase safety and protections for undocumented students and mixed-status families at Western;
- Evaluate present unmet needs and provide guidance towards increasing resource allocation for programs and services centering undocumented students and mixed-status families;
- Uphold accountability among university administration regarding addressing the needs of undocumented students and mixed-status families;
- Continue to maintain record of the University’s response when it comes to support or lack thereof for undocumented students and mixed-status families at WWU; and
- Collaborate with the Vice President for Enrollment and Student Services to ensure the continued structured institutional support for undocumented students and mixed-status families at WWU.
