AS Senate
What is the AS Senate?
The Student Senate represents students in academic affairs, including department policies, curriculum design, assessments, and academic support services. Each college elects two Student Senators to serve as representatives for their student body. For instance, the College of Business and Economics has two Student Senators who advocate for the students within that college.
Student Senators’ responsibilities include participating in academic committees, meeting with their student constituents, and working alongside faculty and administration to address and fulfill the needs of their college's students.
If you have a concern or a topic you are interested in learning more about, contact the ASWWU Senate President, At-Large Senators or Senators from the relevant College below or come to a meeting.
Fall 2024 Regular ASWWU Senate Meetings are weekly on Wednesdays starting 4pm in VU 567 or Teams TownHall.
The Student Senate will not convene on November 27, 2024 due to Thanksgiving Break.
The last meeting of Fall quarter will be held on December 4, 2024.
