What is Western Votes?
Western Votes is a non-partisan program run by the Office of Civic Engagement (OCE) that works to get students interested in civic engagement and citizenship.
What does Western Votes do?
Fall Voter Registration Drive: Getting as many people on Western's campus registered to vote in time for local, state wide, and federal elections. Get all registered voters to vote by holding candidate debates and forums, tabling, etc.
Legislative Agenda: Creating proposals for what we will lobby on in Olympia in the Winter
Western Votes & WSA
Western Votes is Western's chapter of the Washington Student Association, an organization that represents every public university in Washington State and advocates for changes that benefit students of higher education.

If you are a student at Western and want to be politically engaged or want to see others politically engaged, we encourage you to join Western Votes! Every year the OCE hires both year round staff and a few voter registration staff for elections so check us out for job opportunities.
Students in Western Votes come from diverse majors and political backgrounds. Everyone is welcome.
