Western Lobby Day

ASWWU Lobby Day's are fully virtual this year!

Speak to legislators in Olympia about student issues and present the ASWWU Legislative Agenda (the 2022 agenda was approved on December 3rd 2021) by the AS Executive Board of Directors.

All transportation, lodging and food will be paid for! That's right, it's FREE. Why would you not go?

No school will be missed for General Lobby day because it is held on MLK Day.

Western Intersectional Lobby Day (WILD) is hosted by the Ethnic Student Center, Access, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Environmental and Sustainability Programs where students travel Olympia to meet with state legislators on important issues (WILD's 2022's agenda was approved on February 11th) by the AS Executive Board of Directors

WILD is held on President's Day week so you will not miss school and is also FREE.

Check out the Office of Civic Engagement or email the 2021-2022 ASVP for Governmental Affairs (asvp.gov@wwu.edu) or the AS Director of Legislative Affairs, Anna Corinne (as.oce.director.legislativeaffairs@wwu.edu) for more ways to get civically involved!
